A Weekend Progress Report...

Thought I'd share some things I have finished today. Yesterday was a wipe-out creatively - nothing at all but today was a bit better. I've finished my "Veil" postcards - I used some painted paper towel, a photocopy onto purple paper, a canvas background, some silver dotted organza, small tear shaped jewels and some silver dimensional paint - the postcards are backed with some hand painted purple fabric as well.

I've also finished this page in Jo's "Diamond" journal - I used a scrap-booking paper as a background and then added lots of layers of stamping (harlequin diamonds, text and swirls) plus white gel pen and gesso dry brushed around the edges. The stamped faces are all from the one Crafty Individuals stamp and are cut up and sewn onto the background with the flowers and pearls added at the end. I've nearly finished the other page as well but will post that tomorrow - it just needs :something else"!

The "Take it Further" Challenge for March comprises either a colour palette (pretty heavy looking for my tastes - see above - actually it is an OK palette for me except for the heavy burgundy/brown) or the idea of paying attention to the tiny details. The idea appeals to me and I am thinking of doing a series of small items (ATCs or postcards) celebrating tiny details. More thinking needed first...

The veil postcard is just gorgeous! I love purple anyway but you really used it to perfection. The page in the journal is also amazing. You sure had a busy weekend!!
